Our first ever Holiday Party is this Friday!
We hope you can join us. We start at 7pm, and we will have pizza and cookies, warm drinks, and glass demonstrations. We have expanded our artist list, and we are excited to show you what we have been up to.
We are also having the drawing for our Class Giveaway! If you haven’t entered yet, we are giving away a Glass Bootcamp and a Bead Weaving workshop. All you need to do is email us and tell us which class you want to enter for (you can enter both), and we will pull our winners at the party.
We hope you can join us!
Our opening was a huge success! Thank you to all of you who joined us on the 24th, and those who have visited us since. Check out our Facebook page for more images from the event.
Our classes for September and October are online!
We have our Blown Ornaments Workshops starting next month, as well as Lampwork, Stained Glass, Scientific Illustration, and Crochet starting this month.
Be sure to check out our website to see the available dates and times!
Come and join us for our Grand Opening!
We are happy to finally be opening our doors in just over a week. We hope you all can join us for refreshments, and live demos. Come and talk to us about the shop, and see the beautiful work from many local artists in the retail space.
We hope to see you there!
Where: 5036 N. Lincoln Avenue.
When: August 24th, 5pm to 9pm.
John was our carpenter yesterday. He built this wonderful work table. Now it has all the bins of the scrap glass that got organized today into brand new bigger bins. We got a lot of fun stuff done today, and we will have more fun photos for you tomorrow.
Last weekend we started the Christmas season! The McCord Gallery and Cultural Center asked us to bring our ornaments classes to them. We had a blast teaching, and look forward to more classes.
As John said: The apostles Jim, Dennis, and Mark helped build a fantastic work table. This may not look impressive here, but this is a 10’ x 6’ table. And we might have a contest to see if anyone can manage to lift it more than 6 inches off the ground. We are very happy with this table. The much smaller table will be very easy to do now. And require a lot less screws.
We hope you have all been having a happy and safe holiday!
This week we have been working all week in/on the shop (when are we not?), and we have now brought in our last display case for our retail space.
Today was focused on building further glass storage, and we will continue and finish that in the next few days as well as some tables. Thankfully we had beautiful weather today so we were able to work outside and not fill our space with sawdust. Always a plus!
Picked up this nifty cart today, along with a very spiffy new display case for our retail section. Can’t wait to get that thing in the shop on Wednesday! Will post a picture for sure then.
Making some great progress, so expect some more updates soon! We had some family in town and had a few days where we slowed down, but now we’re back at everything at full speed.
John is becoming our handyman, building cabinets for our glass storage. The current progress is for sheet glass, however we are planning an addition (there are more to come) possibly for our rods too.
Our painting is almost complete! The bathroom is getting pretty swanky, in our opinion. Our fun mirror is up too. We also got our AC working, which was nice today to work in a cool space. :)
